Introduction to the school

上海康德双语实验学校是由黄浦区区委、区政府全方位鼎力支持创办的、在黄浦区教育局具体指导下于2017年正式创建的、区域内首家十二年一贯制的民办双语学校。2021年招收小学一年级学生。

Shanghai Concord Bilingual School (hereafter referred to as ‘Shanghai Concord’) is the first internationalised private school in the Huangpu District. Recruiting students from Grades 1 to 12, the school is fully supported by the Party Committee and the Government of Huangpu District and is guided by the Huangpu District Education Bureau. In 2021 SCBS welcomes its fourth intake of Primary G1 students.

学校崇尚学术立校，因此携手在学术方面有卓越追求和辉煌成就的英国顶尖私立名校康德学院（Concord College UK）共同开创在上海的学术办学之路。

In order to achieve the high academic standard to which we aspire, we work in collaboration with the UK’s premier international boarding school, Concord College UK.

学校领导团队由在上海教育界有着极高声望和影响力的特级校长、原上海复旦附中校长谢应平先生领衔，Mrs. Fiona Pocock女士担任学校执行校长一职。同时，学校依托英国康德学院直接引进学术团队及优秀外籍教师，携手市级、区级学科带头人和极富潜力的青年教师组成一流师资团队，共同营造学校国际化的人文环境和交流氛围，促进不同文化间的相互理解。

Shanghai Concord has a management team led by the former Principal of the High School affiliated to Fudan University, Mr. Xie Yingping, who has a leading reputation and considerable influence in the field of education in the region. Mrs. Fiona Pocock has joined SCBS as the new Executive Principal. Using her experience from the many schools she has led, Mrs. Fiona Pocock is well‑positioned to lead SCBS in the direction of high achievement and with eyes on the very top universities worldwide. In addition, our new school has received full support from Concord College UK in appointing the academic management team and excellent expatriate teachers. With the local academic leaders and young teachers with great potential, the first class staff team has committed to building an international environment in the school and this new community is working within an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding.

学校在严格执行市教委义务教育国家课程的同时，在不引进境外课程、不使用境外教材的前提下，积极探索构建具有自身特色双语课程和中外融合课程，提供个性化的教育服务、学术指导和生涯规划，培养“身心健康、德才兼备”的、具有国家意识、本土情怀和国际视野的、适应未来社会发展需要的栋梁之才。

The school fully delivers the Chinese National Curriculum based on standards set by the Shanghai Education Commission. We offer no overseas curriculum. No overseas textbooks are used routinely throughout our lesson delivery. We have established a school that has bilingual courses, alongside Chinese and English enrichment courses with their own characteristics. Such an approach has offered students not only academic development but also the development of an independent learning style. We believe that this is the best way to nurture students who not only have a regional, cultural and national identity with an international perspective but also enjoy good physical and mental health, curiosity and creativity. It is our goal to imbue our students with this ethos so that they will become the backbone of our future society.

小学部校区位于黄浦区瑞金南路385号，具备国际化学校的品质，设施配置齐全，学校有充足的席位提供给非本区学生住宿，同时对有需要的学生可提供校车接送。

Shanghai Concord Bilingual School is located in the Huangpu District at No.385 South Rui Jin Road, it has the quality of an international school. The school offers bus services. Accommodation is available to students who require it.

招生计划和程序

The school’s recruitment plan and procedure

1. 执行《上海市教育委员会关于2021年本市义务教育阶段学校招生入学工作的实施意见》和《2021年黄浦区小学阶段招生入学工作实施意见》，根据黄浦区教育局核准的招生计划数、计划分类，在招生范围内进行招生。

The recruitment process will be carried out according with the “Student Recruitment in Compulsory Education in 2021 issued by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission” and the “Huang Pu District 2021 Primary School Student Enrolment Policy”.

2. 分类计划及招生数：2021年学校招生计划数为120名，四个班级，班额数不超过30人。分类计划表如下：

Enrolment Categories and Numbers：In 2021 we will recruit in four categories (preparatory class for primary school), 120 new students, 30 students per class. The details of the enrolment categories and numbers are as below:

3.招生范围：信息已录入“上海市义务教育入学报名系统”，符合上海市义务教育就读政策的年满6周岁的适龄儿童，出生年月为2014年9月1日 - 2015年8月31日的儿童。

Recruitment Scope: kindgarten graduates whose information has been registered with the “Shanghai Compulsory Education Enrolment System”.

4.网上报名及志愿填报：有意愿选择我校就读的学生和家长，4月26日至4月28日登陆“上海市义务教育入学报名系统”（shrxbm.edu.sh.gov.cn），选择填报上海康德双语实验学校为报名志愿，还可根据个人意愿另外填报一个调剂志愿。

Please apply online through the Shanghai Compulsory Education Enrolment System (shrxbm.edu.sh.gov.cn) between April 26th and 28th. You can select Shanghai Concord Bilingual School as the only choice, or add another option as your secondary adjustment choice.

5.招生录取及确认

Admission Based on Categories

1）报名志愿招生录取

First Choice Confirmation

* 5月17日—5月18日为报名志愿录取时间。如报名人数小于或等于招生计划数，则全部录取。如报名人数超过招生计划数的，由区教育行政部门实行电脑摇号随机录取。

The first round of enrolment takes place between May 17th and May 18th. If the number of applications exceeds the number of places available in a private school, then students will be selected randomly through a computer draw.

* 5月19日—5月20日可以组织验证。5月20日起，通过短信和“上海市义务教育入学报名系统”陆续告知相关入学信息。

Between May 19th and May 20th, the first round of offers will be sent out via text message and parents must respond to the offer by text or through the Compulsory Education Enrolment System portal.

2）调剂志愿招生录取

Second Choice Confirmation (not mandatory, does not apply to everyone)

* 5月23日—5月24日为调剂志愿录取时间。

The second round of enrolment takes place between May 23rd and May 24th.

按市教委规定，2021年5月27日完成招生录取工作。学校将在黄浦区教育局规定的日期内发放录取通知书。

In accordance with regulations of the Municipal Education Commission, the recruitment will be completed on May 27th, 2021.

招生工作承诺与信息公开方式

Enrolment commitment and information disclosure

1. 执行“三个承诺”：不提前组织学生报名或变相报名，不举行任何测试、测评、学科练习、面试或面谈，招生录取不与任何培训机构挂钩。

The following “three promises” will be strictly enforced: No advance registrations or interviews，no acceptance of special CVs and certificates from appropriately aged students, no association with any education training organisations.

2. 学校不引进境外课程、不使用境外教材。

International curriculum and teaching materials are not permitted.

3. 招生过程中不收取报名费、赞助费等任何费用。

No charge (including registration fees, interview fees and sponsorship fees) will be incurred during the application process. Please report any suspicious cases of charging under the name of student recruitment to the Municipal and District Administrative Department for Education and Discipline Inspection Departments.

收费项目及标准

Tuition fees and standards

经黄浦区发展和改革委员会批准（黄发改物价【2019】8号），2021学年我校小学学费收取标准为每人每学期80000元，即一学年收费160000元。

Approved by the Huangpu District Commodity Price Bureau, the tuition fee for SCBS Primary per student per semester will be 80000RMB, 160000RMB for the whole academic year of 2021-2022.

学校可提供外区学生寄宿，住宿费预计为每学期28950元，即每学年57900元，最终按实际发生的结算。

At present our school can provide accommodation for students who genuinely require it. Approved by the Huangpu District Commodity Price Bureau, the accommodation fee will be 28950RMB per semester, 57900RMB per academic year. The final expenditure will be subject to the actual costs incurred.

校车费、校服费、午餐费、课外教育活动费等费用另行收取。

Additional fees will be charged for transport, uniform and lunch upon approval by the Huangpu District Commodity Price Bureau.
